• West Virginia has the highest prevalence rate of veterans ages 18 and over living in the community at 34.9% (153,642)
  
  - 34.9% of those veterans have a disability (53,587)
• From 2007-2008, the percentage of the total population with a disability grew more in West Virginia than any other state, growing 4.1%
