Help!! Is This a High Fat Food??
LOW FAT FOODS
- HAVE 3 GRAMS OF FAT OR LESS PER SERVING or
- HAVE 30% OR FEWER CALORIES FROM FAT
HOW DO I KNOW IF A FOOD HAS 30% OR FEWER CALORIES FROM FAT?
- Look at the total calories per serving.
- Divide that by 3 (in your head or with a calculator).
- This is your final number.
- Now look at the calories from fat per serving.
- If the calories from fat are a more than your final number, it's probably a high fat food.
- If the calories from fat are the same as your final number, it's a moderately low fat food.
- If the calories from fat are less than your final number, it's a low fat food.
