Coursework

The non-degree certificate program includes a two-year core track focused on independent living skills, transition to campus life, and workforce development. While the Country Roads Program is starting off with an introductory two-year track, there will eventually be an advanced track for select graduates of the program.  This will be an additional two years and will be designed to apply independent living and workforce skills off-campus and in workplace settings within the community. Students in the advanced program would be able to enroll in choice certificate programs within the existing West Virginia University (WVU) catalog. Those who choose to enroll in certificate courses for academic credit in the advanced program would receive academic support mentorship and group service opportunities.
