Volunteer as a Puppeteer

Participate with our staff in presenting Ability Awareness educational puppet shows in preschools, elementary schools and community events. Shows are pre-recorded so puppeteers only need to work the movements of the puppets.

Duties

• Attend a training session about disabilities and puppetry.
• Help set up equipment
• Interact appropriately with children in audience for questions/answers

Qualifications

• Able to relate well to young children
• Able to characterize a puppet with expression and movement
• Have own transportation
• Experienced with or willing to learn about disabilities
