DreamCatchers Music Therapy Production This Weekend
Wednesday, April 25, 2018
This weekend, 30 kids of all abilities will be performing "On the Other Side of the Fence" presented by the WVU DreamCatchers program.
DreamCatchers is a brand-new music therapy & musical theatre program. The program provides children ages 5-18 the opportunity to participate in an extra-curricular musical theatre experience, in an exciting, safe, and supportive environment for self-expression at low cost to families. Over 50 WVU students from various programs have used this as a clinical practicum by working as buddies with the participants.
Free shows will be held at South Middle School. Show times are as follows:
•Saturday, April 28th at 2:00pm
•Sunday, April 29th at 3:30pm
*Show runs approximately 1 hour
DreamCatchers is a collaboration between West Virginia University's Center for Excellence in Disabilities, College of Creative Arts, and School of Medicine. Our staff includes Music Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and WVU students of a variety of disciplines.
