The West Virginia Assistive Technology System (WVATS) project at the CED created the Guide to Accessible Recreation in West Virginia. This county guide includes accessible locations where everyone including children, older adults and individuals with disabilities can have fun!
National Forest Service
With West Virginia being a mecca for outdoor adventure, it’s important for these opportunities to be accessible to all. The National Forest Service has created guidelines for outdoor recreation and trail accessibility; these guidelines apply to new areas or areas undergoing renovations within the National Forest System.
