Providing continuing education for professionals working in disabilities or health-related fields is a priority at the CED. In-person, virtual and self-paced trainings with continuing education units (CEUs) are available to help build a workforce that is knowledgeable about how to best serve individuals with disabilities and their families.     Professional training which offers participants a strengths-based approach to support parents of infants and young children. In collaboration with IMPACT WV.

    The WVU CED hosts a variety of state, national and international experts to share information and provide opportunities for discussion. Free monthly webinar series.

  • Faculty and Staff Badges

    Earn micro-credentials in disability inclusion, advocacy and more. Available for students, staff and professionals. WVU affiliation is not a requirement.

  • IMPACT WV Trainings

    The IMPACT WV Learning Portal is an online clearing house for training and resources to help educate families and providers on the effects of substance use on the family unit and child development. Self-paced trainings available.

  • PBS Trainings

    Free trainings to build the skills and capacity necessary to better serve individuals with challenging behaviors and to improve their quality of life. Self-paced trainings available.
  • Self-Paced Trainings

    The CED offers several self-paced trainings for professionals, students, families and caregivers. These free courses are taken using interactive online modules and can be viewed on both computers and mobile devices.
